banana, almond milk, cocoa powder, with or without honey
Ingredients
- 8 oz almond milk
- 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder For Baking
- 1 medium Banana
- 1/2 tbsp Clover Honey
Directions
Add all ingredients to blender, enjoy! You will notice a big difference between ripe and unripe bananas - I add more honey for unripe bananas.
Cocoa powder has tons of antioxidants (measured in ORAC units). 1 T of cocoa powder has about 650 ORAC units while while the ideal daily intake is around 5,000. If you can stand it, add more cocoa powder - it’s only 20 calories per T. Another interesting fact is that 1 T of cocoa contains only 10 mg of caffeine (coffee is about 100, and green tea is about 25).
