Black Rum Cherry Sauce

A simple rum cherry sauce whipped up to top off my pork roast.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Frozen Cherries
- 1 medium Granny Smith Apple
- 2 tbsp Splenda
- 1/4 cup Black Seal Rum
Directions
1. Grate the apple.
2. In a medium saucepan, heat the apple, cherries and sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until the sugar dissolves and the cherries release their juices. Remove from the heat and stir in the rum.
3. Return the sauce to medium heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Adapted from Harvest restaurant
