Blueberry Kuchen

A quick dessert that is always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Unbleached All-purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Lemon Peel, Raw
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2/3 cup Milk 2%
- 1/2 cup Margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Wild Blueberries
Directions
In a bowl, combine the 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, grated lemon peel, ground nutmeg, and salt. Add the milk, 1/4 cup melted butter, beaten egg and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes or until well blended.
Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with blueberries. In a bowl, combine remaining sugar and flour. Add remaining melted butter. Toss with a fork until crumbly and sprinkle over blueberries. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until lightly browned.
