Brioche from Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Water
- 1 1/2 tbsp Fresh Yeast
- 1 1/2 tbsp Coarse Kosher Salt
- 8 Large Egg
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1 1/2 cups Butter, Unsalted
- 7 1/2 cups Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
Directions
1. Mix yeast, salt, eggs, honey, and melted butter with the water.
2. Mix in flour without kneading using a spoon.
3. Allow to rest and rise, covered, for 2 hours, or until doubled in bulk.
4. Grease 9 x 4 x 3 loaf pan. Elongate dough into an oval, place in pan, and let rest for 1.5 hours.
5. Twenty minutes before baking, preheat the oven to 350. Place bread near the center of the oven and bake for 35 - 40 minutes.
