Brownie Cookies

Fudgy chocolate cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup All-Vegetable Shotening Sticks - Butter Flavor
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 tbsp Confectioners Powdered Sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350.
Use electric mixer to cream sugar with 1/2 stick of Crisco. Add egg and vanilla and incorporate. Combine dry ingredients and sift before adding in batches to crisco/sugar mix. Dough will be stiff.
Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake ~12 minutes. Cookies should look done around edges but still a bit gooey in the center. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
Allow to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Makes 1.5 dozen cookies.
