French toast isn't a splurge with this recipe. Using whole grain bread and low-fat Greek yogurt, this is a fuel-packed breakfast.

1. Soak bread in egg.
2. Using a cooking spray, cook on non-stick pan for approximately 1 minute each side until lightly brown.
3. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve with yogurt.

Yes, if done as the recipe it can be bland, I am using Honey Greek yoghurt from Trader Joes, which is a tad sweet and adding vanilla and cinnamon or fruit to the yoghurt is a great idea.

  • I added a half a cup of frozen blueberries and put them in the microwave until they were hot. I mixed the blueberries with the yogurt and ate it on top the french toast. It was really good and filled me up.

  • There is no mention of how many calories it contains! This is not a diet food!

Not bad. I added 1/8 tsp vanilla extract to the egg and 2 tbsp. of skim milk - and lots of cinnamon. If you eat it with yogurt it cuts the dryness. It's pretty good.

  • FOOD SHOULD TASTE GOOD. This recipe is horrible, the stereotypical diet food. Plain whole wheat bread, plain yogurt, and plain egg. Even a little cinnamon does not save this recipe from being boring and terrible. I mixed a teaspoon or so of maple syrup into the yogurt, and added a cup of diced strawberries. It was ok.

Really liked it and didn't need syrup since you take a bite of yogurt with each bite. Will make this often.

This was my first attempt to French Toast ever. As I don't eat white bread I used organic sour dough sprinkled with lineseeds. It was very tasty, especially with the greek yoghurt, because it was a bit dry without. Next time I think I will eat it with skimmed 'kwark'a Dutch delicacy.
