These rice treats aren't like the kind from your childhood. Ditch the marshmallow and opt for cozy maple syrup and heart-healthy almond butter. Almond butter is full of healthy fat, protein and fiber, but beware of store-bought versions with added salt and sugar.

Ingredients

Directions

1. Melt your nut butter with sweetener on the stovetop or in the microwave.
2. Measure out your crispy rice cereal in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
3. Pour sweet mixture into the crispy rice cereal and mix well.
4. Add salt and funfetti, mix well.
5. Spritz an 8 x 8 baking dish with cooking spray.
6. Scrape mixture into baking dish and press firmly into place. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Note:
Opt for vegan sprinkles to keep this dessert 100 percent plant-based.
