Did you know some flowers are actually edible? This recipe combines colorful flowers including nasturtiums, sweet pea, micro-orchids and pansies with delicious wild greens. Whatever sprouts, lettuces and herbs you find at your local farmers market are sure to taste great. Toss everything together, drizzle with olive oil and lemon and you have the most gorgeous salad on the planet!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups mixed green salad
  • 3 tsp Juice, Lemon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

1. Combine lettuces, sprouts, herbs and edible flowers on a plate or in a bowl.

2. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice.

3. Drizzle with olive oil.

4. Enjoy!

Some gorgeous edible flowers include: white daisy, marigold, bachelor button, yellow daisy, nasturtium, aster, brassica flower, dianthus, sweet pea, micro-orchids, pansy, snapdragon.
