When I want something heavier than a green smoothie for breakfast in the morning, I whip up this shake, especially if I think I'll be having a late lunch and need something that will hold me over an extra hour or two. It's delicious!

Directions

1. Rinse blueberries; set aside. (Alternatively, frozen berries may be used.)
2. Add almond milk and coconut water first to a VitaMix (or other high-speed blender).
3. Then add all the other ingredients. This recipe calls for the chocolate protein powder, in which case I might add a handful of washed, organic spinach, as well, just for the extra greens. If you're using the Life's Basic Plant Protein Powder with Greens, you don't necessarily need to add any more.
4. Blend until smooth (about 30 seconds).
5. Enjoy while sipping slowly!
