These gingerbread cookies put a deliciously healthy spin on the traditional holiday dessert. The almonds in your decorative cream cheese contain a bunch of heart-healthy unsaturated fat, which reduces your LDL or "bad" cholesterol. They'll also give you a dose of vitamin E, which helps to prevent heart attacks, and potassium, which reduces blood pressure.

1. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, ginger, cinnamon and clove powder in a small bowl.
2. In a separate large mixing bowl, mix the oil, 2/3 cup agave, and 1 tsp vanilla.
3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix to form a dough. If it is too wet (measuring varies) you might want to add a little more flour.
4. Roll out the dough between sheets of wax paper.
5. Place dough in the refrigerator before cutting out the cookies to make it easier to cut them out.
6. Cut out the cookies and place on parchment-lined cookie sheets.
7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until just browned.
8. Combine the remaining 1/2 cup agave with the remaining teaspoon of vanilla and the cream cheese. You can put it into a squeeze bottle to decorate, or use a knife.
9. Add dried fruit, goji berries or nuts as decorations.
