California-based Bakeology makes a decadent vegan, gluten-free hot chocolate that has all of the flavor and none of the stuff you don’t want. If you’re not based in Cali, you can order the cookies online as they ship nationwide or substitute with your favorite brand vegan, gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. Note that if you are using Bakeology cookies, use 5 in this recipe, and if you are using a different cookie, you might need to adjust the amount of cookies as well as sugar and chocolate in the recipe.



1. To make the cocoa mix, add the cane sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chips, cocoa, sea salt and ground vanilla beans into a food processor.
2. Blend until the chocolate chips are a fine consistency. Set aside.
3. In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the coconut milk, chocolate chip cookie crumbs and the cocoa mix, stirring constantly.
4. Once hot, but not boiling, turn off heat and serve immediately. Top with marshmallows and serve.
