This zesty smoothie bursts with grapefruit, ginger and turmeric. Grapefruits can increase the body’s digestive enzymes and burn up stored body fat. Ginger has been used for centuries as a natural remedy to accelerate gastric emptying and treat bloating.

Directions

1. Peel, seed and chop the grapefruit.
2. In a blender combine the fresh grapefruit juice, chopped apple and ginger, yogurt, turmeric, honey, and ice and blend until smooth.
3. Pour into a glass, top with hemp hearts, and serve.
