JERK TURKEY BURGERS

Spicy turkey burger
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Red Bell Pepper, Raw
- 2 cloves Garlic, Raw
- 1 tsp Thyme, Dried
- 1 tsp Curry Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seed
- 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Paprika, Sweet
- 1/8 tsp Spices, Cayenne Pepper
- 1 lb Turkey Breast Raw
- 1 One Large Egg
Directions
In small nonstick skillet, heat oil over low heat. Add finely diced red pepper, minced garlic, and spices, ground cumin (not cumin seed). Saute for 1-2 mins until slightly softened. Take off heat and let cool.
In large bowl combine ground raw turkey breast, egg, Panko bread crumbs, cooled red pepper and spices mixing thoroughly but lightly. Shape into 4 burgers and saute in lightly oiled nonstick skilled about 5 mins on each side until browned--check doneness with meat thermometer 160F degrees.
*Note: salt and pepper can be added. Serve alone with veggies or on hamburger bun.
