La's Stovetop Tuna Rotini with Peas (and Marsala)

Low-fat, low-sodium tastier version of Tune Helper (made from scratch!)
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 6 cloves Garlic Clove
- 8 oz Penne Rigate Pasta
- 32 oz Almond Breeze Original
- 1 cup 50% Less Sodium Chicken Broth
- 2 2/3 cups Steamfresh Sweet Peas
- 1 cup Chunk White Tuna
- 45 g Parmesan, Shredded Cheese
- 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Cooking Wine Marsala
Directions
1. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the garlic and sauté until garlic is lightly browned.
2. Add the broth, Marsala, 3 cups of milk, and pasta. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring frequently, until the pasta is al dente and a thick sauce has formed (about 12 minutes).
3. Add the tuna, peas, and the remaining milk. Cook until warmed through.
4. Mix in the Parmesan cheese and season with black pepper.
