Lauren's Scones

a basic scone recipe, this is what I usually make the only difference is remove the blueberry and lemon and add whatever else you want.
Ingredients
- 4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Sugar, Granulated
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 1/2 cups Cultured Fat Free Buttermilk
- 1 cup Blueberries
- 3 tsp Lemon Zest
- 25 g Lemon Juice Raw
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Unsalted Butter
Directions
mix together all dry ingredients. After those are well combined cube up cold butter. add it in a food processor and add the butter 1 piece at a time until it is the texture of sand and fully incorporated. add egg and buttermilk mix with a spatula or hands lightly until just incorporated. add the lemon zest and blueberries or anything else you want instead. Scoop out onto greased cookie sheet or onto a parchment lined cookie sheet
bake at 425 for 10-15 mins rotating at the half way point.
While baking mix together powdered sugar and lemon juice once cooled drizzle icing over and enjoy
