Homemade Chinese Mapo Tofu with Ground Beef in a few simple flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Steamed White Rice
- 8 oz Lean Ground Beef
- 1 pkg Organic Silken Tofu
- 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 2 tsp Hot Sauce (bottled)
- 1 oz Kun Chun Oyster Sauce
Directions
1) Cook 2 cups of steamed rice
2) In a separate pot, cook the ground beef (mince) and cook for 1 minute.
*Try to find meat as lean as possible to save calories
3) Add 1/4 cup of water to meat
4) Add Pepper, Hot Sauce, and Oyster Sauce- adjust as you'd like.
*i.e. Add more Hot Sauce for added spice.
5) When meat is about done, add silken tofu that's been cut into approximately 1 inch cubes. If unsure, cut bigger cubes, because you'll always be able to make it smaller.
6) Stir *Gently* in pot- siken tofu breaks easily. When tofu is warm, server over rice. Enjoy!
