Directions

MAKE THE MASH FIRST:
Boil potatoes and then mash when cooked. Add first five ingredients and mash again until fluffy.

MAKE THE MEAT:
1-1/2 lbs. of ground beef browned in a skillet.

Remove meat from skillet reserving the scrapings in the pan.

Place the 1tsp. of Canola oil in the same pan and saute 1 medium onion with the scrapings until clarified. Add the browned beef to the pan and mix together the onion and meat.

In a separate pot prepare the Chalet gravy mix according to the directions on the package. Then mix the gravy with the meat and onion and green peas. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper according to taste - stirring thoroughly

In a 9 X 12 baking pan, ADD the meat mixture to the bottom of the pan spreading evenly. Add the mashed potatoes to the top of the meat mixture and spread evenly on top. Sprinkle the top of the mash with paprika powder.

Place in the pre-heated oven at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until mash has browned on top.
