This is the recipe my Mom always used to make when I was growing up, they are the PERFECT cookie AND low fat! If you want to switch it up use any type of chip combination you want, my favorites are penut butter and chocolate chips!
Ingredients
- 3 cups Unbleached Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Light Butter
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Buttermilk-lowfat
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tsp Imitation Vanilla Flavor
- 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
Directions
1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees; lightly coat large cookie sheets with non-stick spray and set aside.
2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl and set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl combine sugars, butter, vanilla, and buttermilk, beat with electric mixer until smooth (butter needs to be room temperature). Add in eggs and continue to mix until smooth. With mixer running slowly add in all of the flour mix until a soft dough forms. Stir in chips.
4. Drop tablespoon sized balls of dough 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 7-9 minutes until cookies are golden brown on top. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack. ENJOY! :)
