Oatmeal with Grated Apple

This is a bright and easy breakfast that acts as the perfect morning pick-me-up. Its also filling to last you until lunch.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Quaker Oats Old-fashioned
- 1 Honeycrisp Apple
- 2 1/3 cups Tap Water
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 0 oz Lemon Juice, Freshly Squeezed
- 1/3 cup Milk 2%
- 1/2 tsp Butter
- 2 tsp Organic Dark Brown Sugar
Directions
1. Combine the oatmeal, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
2. Grate the apple. Add it, the lemon juice and some zest of it to the oatmeal. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add the milk and butter, stir well, and finish cooking to desired thickness. Serve immediately with a teaspoon of brown sugar per person and a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional).
