Palak Dal from Heidi

creamy white lentils with spinach finish with frsh lemon and cilantro
Ingredients
- 1 cup Urid Dal
- 3 tsp Ginger Root
- 2 Tomatoes
- 8 oz Spinach
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seed
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/4 Peppers, Hot Chili, Red
Directions
cook first six ingredients with six cups of water for up to two hours until creamy, add more water as necessay. Fry cumin seed in butter and olive oil mix until they pop, add chili pepper. Add to dal. Serve with fresh lemon and cilantro...and warm naan.
