Normally served for dinner, quinoa makes a unique breakfast “cereal” as well. And with eight grams of complete protein per cup, it fills the morning nutrient void too.

Directions

1. Add the quinoa, chopped apple, golden raisins, almond butter, whole milk, cardamom and ground cinnamon to a medium saucepan.

2.Cook the quinoa according to manufacturers directions (using milk, instead of water).

This dish can be enjoyed warm or even cold the next day.
