Here is a twist on the classic rice crispy treats, axing the unhealthy marshmallows and using high-fiber oatmeal in combination with the rice cereal. You can use whatever flavor of protein powder you like for this recipe. Note: This recipe is new and improved, thanks to the helpful user comments!

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 9

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/3 cup Raw Honey
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract, No Added Sugar
  • 1 scoop 100% Whey Protein Powder Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups Rice Crispies
  • 1/2 cup Plain Oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup Smooth Almond Butter
  • 1 dash Cooking Spray, Non-Stick

DIRECTIONS

1 Spray a 9x9 baking pan with cooking spray.
2 In a large post over low heat, melt the butter and stir in the honey, almond butter and vanilla.
3 Turn heat off and then stir in the protein powder, oats and rice cereal.
4 Press the mixture into the pan and let cool or refrigerate for 20 minutes.
