Savory Tomato, Basil and Carrot Smoothie

This flavorful flat-belly drink tastes like a fresh tomato-basil gazpacho. Low in calories and packed with flavor, tomatoes provide potassium to help combat belly bloat. And because they’re rich in fiber, carrots help improve digestive health.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1

  • 1 medium Roma Tomato, Raw
  • 1 medium raw carrots
  • 1/2 cup Low Sodium Tomato Juice
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup Basil Leaves
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 4 Ice Cube

DIRECTIONS

1 In a blender, combine the tomato, carrot, tomato and lemon juices, basil leaves, garlic, olive oil, pepper, and ice and blend until smooth.
2 Pour into a glass and garnish with a basil leaf, if desired, and serve.
