We just had to season our homemade carrot fries with fresh ginger, with a bit of cayenne and turmeric for a little extra flavor. Those yummy seasonings have lots of health benefits, too. They’re all packed with antioxidants to promote healthy cell growth, while the carrots supply lots of vitamin A.

Ingredients

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Peel the carrots and cut them into fries approximately 3-4 inches long and ½- to ¾-inch thick.
3. Toss the fries with the oil, grated ginger, cayenne and turmeric in a mixing bowl until evenly coated.
4. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with greased parchment paper, then bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning the fries after 15 minutes.
5. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
