Steak and Mixed Herb Salad
Ingredients
- 10 oz Beef Stir-fry Strips
- 2 cups Herb Salad Mix
- 4 tbsp Tomatoes (tin Chopped)
- 1/4 tsp Pepper, Black
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Salt
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3/4 tsp Chili Powder
Directions
1: Salad Dressing.
Mix the dressing: Use larger quantities to store for later. Take 2 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar and mix with 1 tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Add a squeeze of lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Mix in a small jar if available.
2: Hot Tomato Relish
Take a medium-sized pan and open the tinned chopped tomatoes (you won't use all the tin for this meal so also prepare for left-overs). Heat the tomatoes and simply season to your liking with a variety of garlic salts, peppers and a dash of apple cider vinegar or balsamic to give a sweeter flavor. This is purely preference. If you prefer to make this a spicy relish, you can add chili powder or a dash of hot chili sauce to taste.
3: Steak Strips
Take a shallow frying pan and spray with non-stick PAM or oil.
Place on a stove and heat on high before placing in the steak strips. Salt and Pepper to season. Add a pinch of chili powder if you like a spicy flavor. Brown the strips to your liking.
4: Bring it all together.
- Place the Herb Salad on a plate.
- Drizzle over your salad dressing.
- Lay the cooked steak strips over the dressed salad.
- Spoon some of the warm tomato relish on the side.
Enjoy.
