This is a recipe that I made with left over green beans from Thanksgiving. It's very filling and the green beans really shine in this dish
Ingredients
- 32 oz Green Beans
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Pure Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Ground Thyme
- 1/2 tsp Organic German Mustard
- 1/2 tsp Organic Raw Blue Agave Nectar
- 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Reggiano
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
Directions
1. Fill large pot 1/3 with water. With a steam basket, place entire bag of green beans on top of steam basket. Steam green beans until they are al dente (approximately 8-10 minutes)
2. In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil on low. Add garlic powder, thyme, cinnamon, agave nectar, and dijon. Stir all ingredients and then take off heat.
3. When green beans are al dente, transfer them to the skillet and coat the green beans with butter mixture. When coated top entire dish with parmesan reggiano and salt and pepper to taste then serve.
