Strawberry Shortcake

This is an extremely quick a simple recipe and tastes FANTASTIC! It actually came from the Cook This, Not That! book, which I highly recommend for anyone new to the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Sliced Strawberries
- 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 4 slice Angel Food Cake
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Whipped Cream
Directions
Mix the strawberries, vinegar, and pepper. Marinate for 10-15 minutes. Heat a grill, stovetop grill pan, or nonstick saute pan until hot (use butter with pan, omit if using grill). Add the cake slices and cook until caramelized and toasted. Transfer to 4 dessert plates and top with strawberry mixture and whipped cream.
