Low fat pizza crust! Yummy & uses applesauce instead of oil for a lower calorie crust than traditional recipes.

Ingredients

Directions

1. Warm water to 110 degrees F. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand about 10 minutes (water & yeast will be creamy).
2. In a very large bowl, combine 2 cups bread flour, applesauce, salt, white sugar and yeast. Using egg beaters or mixer, beat until dough becomes stiff. Cover the bowl with saran wrap (try not to touch the dough or you'll end up with a sticky mess!) and rise approx 30 - 40 minutes (it will double in volume).
3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. This will give you about 15 min to add your toppings to the crust.
4. Turn dough out onto a well floured surface. Form into a round and stretch or roll out into a pizza crust shape.
5. Cover with sauce and toppings.
6. Bake until golden brown, about 22 minutes.
- If dough is too sticky, add more flour to make it easier to work with.
- Nutritional info is for crust only (add toppings separately).
