Turnip Rosemary Fries

Turnip Rosemary Fries

These fries are high in heart-healthy potassium, packed with vitamin C to nourish a strong immune system, and they’re also low in calories (so you can go back for seconds if you want!). Rosemary, black pepper and olive oil add even more flavor, along with plenty of antioxidants.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 4

  • 5 medium Turnips, raw
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary, fresh
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper

DIRECTIONS

1 Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
2 Slice the turnips in half and cut into ¾-inch wedges.
3 Mix the turnip wedges, olive oil, rosemary and black pepper in a mixing bowl, stirring to coat the fries.
4 Line a baking sheet with greased parchment paper, arrange the fries on the sheet.
5 Bake for 30 to 40 minutes (until tender and crispy) flipping the fries at the 18-minute mark.
6 Remove from oven and serve immediately, seasoned with salt (if desired).
