When stars want to stay on track with their diet plans, they reach for a variety of foods to keep them healthy and feeling full. Kim Kardashian-West offered Harper’s Bazaar a sneak peek into her daily routine, including her typical diet and workout regiment. At breakfast, Kim usually noshes on oatmeal, scrambled eggs or a protein shake with fruit. Famous for her curvaceous figure, the star works hard to maintain her post-baby bod. A diet focused on lean protein and vegetables acts as fuel for her 90-minute workouts each day, which include running and strength training. Mrs. Kardashian-West even gives into cravings from time to time, proving she’s just like us. “If I need a sweet-tooth fix, I’ll have those Justin’s peanut butter packs; the almond butter is also really good. I’ll just eat it plain.”

Madonna loves coconut water so much that she invested $1.5 million in the brand Vita Coco, according to FitSugar.com. The site reports that she drank the stuff every day on her Sticky & Sweet tour. The singer continues to defy the aging process by maintaining a strict diet and exercise regimen. Madonna’s trainer, Tracy Anderson, recommends snacks like mixed berries, grapes or soy pudding.

Reality star and fashion designer Lauren Conrad tells Seventeen magazine she enjoys putting together a snack plate of hummus, sliced turkey, cucumbers and apples when she needs to grab a quick bite. “I don’t believe in crash dieting, but I do rely on a few tricks that keep my metabolism revving,” she tells Life & Style magazine. “Water, water, water and green tea! When it comes to health, there are no shortcuts. At the end of the day, it’s all about maintaining a nutritious diet and an active lifestyle.”

Singer and actress Selena Gomez also loves to munch on popcorn when she needs a diet-friendly snack, but her recipe is a bit unusual. According to Glamour magazine, the former Disney Channel star adds salt and Tabasco sauce to a bag of unsalted popcorn and then drizzles it with pickle juice! Gomez tells PopSugar.com that it’s tough to maintain a healthy lifestyle with her schedule, but she’s trying. “It’s hard when you’re on the road. But I dance every day and night, so that helps. We try to eat as healthy as possible.” Proceed with caution: This snack could fall on the side of being high in salt.

Country singer and former “American Idol” Carrie Underwood is a vegan, so when it’s snack time, she reaches for tofu-salad sandwiches, reports CMT.com. “Once you get into a routine of eating healthy, it hurts twice as much when you fall off the wagon, but it’s nice to have a few bites of something you like,” she tells Women’s Health magazine. “If I’m on the road, I’ll get oatmeal. There are low-sugar kinds that are easy to fix.” Although she took a break from her vegan diet during her pregnancy (she followed a vegetarian diet), she resumed her animal-free diet post-baby, according to AXS.com.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow admits she snacks on KIND bars when she needs a quick bite, reports Shape. She says it was her mom, actress Blythe Danner, who turned her on to them. KIND bars are on-the-go snacks that come in a variety of flavors with varying health benefits. In her cookbook, “It’s All Good,” published last year and co-authored with Julia Turshen, Paltrow includes a recipe for her favorite homemade candy bars with cashews, dates, almond butter and dark-chocolate chips.

“Dancing With the Stars” host Brooke Burke-Charvet reaches for a handful of popcorn when she needs a quick, low-cal nosh, she tells Health magazine. I make it at home and put it in baggies,” she says. “You pop kernels using regular olive oil, not extra-virgin, then you season with pink Himalayan salt.” Burke-Charvet, a huge proponent of healthy living, recently launched an active apparel line called Caelum.

He crafted The Swift Shake snack clusters, which include nut butter (either peanut or almond), honey, ground flaxseed, cranberries and dark-chocolate chips for an on-the-go treat. The musician also stays active to maintain a healthy lifestyle. “For me, working out is not so I can get skinny,” Swift told FitSugar.com. “It’s so that I’m not panting on stage.”
