Stop Snoring

How to Stop Snoring Through Exercise

Snoring occurs when inhalation and exhalation cause the soft tissues in the throat to vibrate. This can happen when the airway is constricted by excess tissue or when the muscles in the throat relax. Sedatives and other central nervous system depressants, such as alcohol and some sleep aids, can cause snoring. For most, however, being overweight or having lax mouth and throat muscles are the biggest risk factors. Exercising the mouth and throat to tighten the muscles as well as losing excess weight can greatly reduce your chances of snoring.
