How to Use Agave as a Syrup Pack for Frozen Fruit

Agave is a natural sweetener made from the blue agave or similar succulents, commonly found in Mexico. Agave syrup contains the same number of calories as sugar per teaspoon. However, because agave is sweeter than table sugar, you can use less of it in your recipes. This reduces the total calories and carbohydrates in your recipes, including syrup packs for freezing fruit. The glycemic index score of agave syrup is less than half that of table sugar, which helps to decrease its effect on your blood sugar levels.
