Stage 4:  Lanusei to Oristano, 174.2km/108mi

The Giro di Sardegna has quickly turned into the Peter Sagan Show, with the Slovakian rider claiming his third win on Friday’s 4th stage.  Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale) out-sprinted Manuel Belletti (Colnago CSF Inox) and Roberto Ferrari (Androni Giocattoli) to claim the win and retain his race lead.  Fourteen seconds separate him from former leader Damiano Cunego (Lampre-ISD) with only one stage left to ride.  The Shack's best performance came from Fumy Beppu in 15th. 

Team RadioShack’s Ben Hermans held fast to his fifth spot on the classification but the time gaps will be hard to overcome to put the Belgian on the final podium.

Giro di Sardegna Stage 3:  Orani to Lanusie, 173km/107mi

Team RadioShack’s Ben Hermans continued his consistent performance in stage 3 of the Giro di Sardegna on Thursday, sprinting with the front group to take fifth behind winner Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale).  Hermans maintained his fifth position on GC as well, with Sagan taking the lead back from former leader Damiano Cunego (Lampre-ISD).  Only four seconds separate the two riders with two stages left to ride.

Giro di Sardegna Stage 2:  Porto Rotonda to Nuoro/Monte Ortobene, 197.5km/123mi

Team RadioShack’s Ben Hermans came in just two-seconds behind stage winner and new race leader Damiano Cunego (Lampre ISD) on Wednesday, showing solid early season form from the Belgian rider.  It was an uphill drive to the finish line with Cunego taking his first win in two racing seasons. Second place went to Jose Serpa (Androni Giocattoli) and third place to his teammate Emanuele Sella.  Hermans sits in sixth place on the GC at 12-seconds off Cunego’s lead.
