I am a mother of three young men and married to the man of my dreams. I have been about 100 +lbs overwieght since after giving birth to my oldest son. I was in great shape in high school and was very active. All my pregnancys were very hard on my body and my babies seemed to get bigger and bigger with each one. My youngest was 10lbs 12oz...I decided no more...I had cervical cancer when I was 27 and had to have a hysterectomy, which caused me to gain more wieght. At my heaviest I wieghed 290+lbs. I never thought I looked as heavy as I was and so I guess I just didnt care. Around September of 2008 the fog was lifted and I decided that I wanted to feel good about myself again. I wonder now what changed, I think I just got tired of being the fatest person in the room. I have lost 100lbs! I am 5' 10" and should weigh about 170lbs. I have 18 more lbs to go. I want to be able to maintain that weight for the rest of my life. I know I can do it and I'm ready to go! God has blessed me with this life and I know I am able to do anything. Started 9/30/08 290lbs Current 185 mini goal 260- reached 1/21/09 (get a tatoo) ouch! mini goal- 250- buy a new shirt reached 2/24/09 mini goal-240- get my hair done- reached 3/31/09 mini goal 230-get my first massage reached 5/15/09 mini goal 220-go to spa for the day reached and surpassed 7/21/09 mini goal 210-treat myself to something nice reached 9/21/09 mini goal 208- no longer considered to be obese...by the way I hate that word. reached 10/6/09 mini goal 200-yeah reached 1/6/10 mini mini goal 199-good bye 200 forever reached 1/10/10 major goal 190-jump up and down for joy 100lbs gone reached 3/1/10 forever!!!!!!! last and final goal 160- Goals for 2010 190 reached 3/1/10 Goal 1: -10 Get new pair of pants Goal 2: -10 Get nails done Goal 3: -10 Get excited for I am finally done..... 160 for the jackson wieght loss challenge!
