About Me:

I'm a California native, born in San Bernardino, raised in Santa Barbara to eventually settle in the San Francisco Bay area. I've lived in each corner of the U.S.but-my favorite place to live is Berkeley. After becoming a participant in the "Rat Race" and joining the "9 to 5" club, something became very clear to me. Witnessing many people in my life literally collapsing, physically, mentally and emotionally-arrived at the conclusion that-I had to begin practicing self preservation. Easier said than done. I stumbled through 3 businesses-failed miserably, so... decided to go back to school to pursue a dream I'd long had. Instrumental to my decision was a mix of everything-spiritual, emotional ,cerebral. I was on a mission. After emersing myself in Travel Industry, International Trade and-every Business class I could get, it was time to begin my new business as a Travel Agent. Not an ordinary one-a "Home Based" agent. This gives me the opportunity to use my creative abilities and to be my own boss, too. I became a vegetarian at a very early age (21 yrs.) and have stuck to it through husbands and children for always. I only wish I'd changed my parent's eating habits in their lifetime but, no go. Always an active person and still am yet, not as much as in the past. I was a long distance runner,biker, played tennis and used to spend a lot of time at the ocean. There are no really warm beaches in northern California. Maybe I'll find the perfect seashore in my travels. I am also a follower on Twitter of Lance Armstrong. I used to ride my bike at break neck speed until-I encountered a misplaced car door and went flying-squash! Residual effects. Happy to find this place and hope to make some new friends and learn new things.

Oct. 19-Dinner take out from Herbavore. I've been vegetarian for 38 years and actually enjoy this food although I'm certain I can make a way better Lentil Loaf.
