Ive been happily married for 9 years and I'm basically trying to lose babyweight (30 pounds) at first and then going for 20 more pounds. Today, I feel...full. Not the best diet but I decided to log. Cals remain low but content is bad...This week pretty much spent in getting in the groove of having classes and getting back to the morning routine chaos. Today, ie Saturday was spent with family and right now 6:31 decided to open up my school books and also make sense of course syllabus to see what is due when this semester. Will try to start eating my regular healthier foods starting Monday.

Mood: Guilty
Today, I feel... guilty of eating out, but this was pretty much preplanned alongwith watching movie with sis...We had a nice time but passed by too quick. Didnt really get to relax.
3pm-Sodium is way up so will keep away from all kinds of salt for the night. Log is probably not very accurate because we ordered from pizzeria, just logged the closest I could find.
I am thinking brown rice with veggies and something else with protein on the side for dinner. Or maybe if I feel upto it just make a serving of beans/brocolli.

Today, I feel...okay because of the fact that I am finally logging my food. I get discouraged for a while when I think I wont be able to lose this 10 pounds (or 40 for that matter) so soon, but I know its consequences of my own actions, letting my health go on the backseat.
In any case I didnt realize that it takes a bit of effort to log and plan your meals, especially if you are sitting at the computer for long periods, logging takes another 15 or so minutes. I went grocery shopping today and got healthier foods, but not much since we won't be using it for a few days. Am thinking about asking for my Pilates/exercise DVDS back from SIL cuz I know she is not using them. Atleast get some stretching in thru Pilates. At this disgusting weight it will be hard to do those to begin with.
I am excited about next semester and a bit nervous too. Atleast I know that this time around I will be more healthier and wont let this stress get to me. Also will focus on sleep schedules (so waking up early for exercise/praying will be easier) and vitamin. When MIL comes to stay I can actually continue this diet/exercise with her since she wants to lose some belly fat as well. Overall an ok day, still have to plan dinner.
8:35pm. analysis of day so far is that I just cannot believe how easy it is to eat healthy and log your food. I realize that it depends on having some extra time to log and stuff too and I still wish my phone had an app for the time I'm in school and job etc. Anyway, once you start trying everything falls into place. If I just add some physical exercise to my regimen I know I can start losing very quickly. Even water intake is good! Today, so far fat and cals are in good shape, but went up on cholestrol and sodium. Cholestrol I'm not too worried about, because I know its coming mostly from the egg, nor am I really monitoring at this point. I know sodium gives me alot of water weight, so I have to cut back on that. Most of it is coming from the curry masala and again seasoning the egg. I know I am not addicted to sweets to any extent so that works in my favor. The thought of the amount of fast food I was consuming really disgusts me.

Mood: Motivated
Today, I feel...motivated after pondering over my current state last night. After I signed off I also realized that all my weight loss efforts began to fade when I moved into this separate apartment as well, where before I was in the apartment with mom. That was definitely a contributor as well, can't exactly say how.
Although I know I have been struggling with weight all is not lost yet. From now on I am focusing on the positives, and mainly focusing on figuring out what is driving me to eat unhealthy.
I just got my new schedule from school and thank God I have a good rotational group again, and one of my good friends is in it with me too. The actual rotational placements seem good too, while I am waiting to pass my road test and get my license. That being all set, I made some notes on my cell about focusing on portion control to start and to lose 10 pounds in about 6 weeks. Since we have school starting next week, and our vacation this weekend, I will wait to start formal physical exercise. I know my portions are out of control so first, control there is very important. Food diary will probably not be complete, but I just want to make sure that I do log.
8:35pm - so I have some time before bedtime, just logged and I feel pretty full. Choices weren't that great today but I am glad that I logged to see where I am. Sodium and fat were high today. I also had a second serving of rice, atleast I logged honestly. Some ingredients in my recipes need changes. And tomorrow is grocery day. I made some notes from previous entires about some of my favorite healthy foods and will get some tomorrow.
Analysis of how "full" I feel and looking at my diary, I think my "dinner" was unnecessary. I didn't find it hard staying under 1800 cals today so that was good. Now to just keep it up the next week! :)
