How do I adjust my serving size?
Just like on a nutrition label, each food we include on our site lists its serving size. But if you only ate, say, half of that hamburger, or if you drank two cups of coffee and not just one, you'll want to adjust the number of servings you consumed.
If you just added the item to your MyPlate page, it will look something like this:

By clicking inside that text box next to "Servings consumed," you can enter the number of servings you actually had. If you had two 12 oz. cups of coffee, you would update the servings field to say "2." If you had only had half a cup, you could put the decimal ".5" or the fraction "1/2" into the servings field instead.
Once you've entered the correct amount of servings, just click the orange "Update" button (or press "return" on your keyboard).
If you want to adjust the servings you consumed for another food on your MyPlate page, and the form to do so isn't yet visible, simply click on the number of servings currently listed (as shown below), and the form will expand for you to edit that value.
