Being French, I had never heard of tuna in WATER! well at least, after it has been fished. I do not like it and I find it soggy and tasteless me, apart from the metallic taste from cheap cans.
Then six months ago, I discovered this product. I was delighted and I started being able to enjoy "real" tuna salads again but it did not last long. A few months later the local NC store stopped carrying the product. I guess it probably did not sell in the US.
It is a great pity but at least I can either buy it from Amazon or import it myself by case. Although it is better for general health, I use it for the taste and its solid consistency.
BTW, any other persons looking for healthy and tastier preserve, I now import in cases from France my peas, green beans & Flageolets beans from Cassegrain. They are delicious and cost little more that third rate local cans.
