This stuff is great. It takes some getting used to if you normally eat white rice. I love the chewy texture and the nutty flavor. White rice seems boring to me now. I like to prepare this in my rice cooker with a bit of bouillon, some soy sauce, and a splash of olive oil. Yum!

I find if i under cook the brown rice just a bit you get your crunchy craving, thats what i call it. I find though that 1/2 is too much for me. I will cut it down to either 1/3 or 1/4 ill see. Sometimes ill add dried split peas while cooking the rice for a variety of texture slight flavor change. Try it out

I've just started eating brown rice the last year, and I have tried dozens of different kinds. Out of curiosity, I bought this brown rice and was amazed! It's the best brown rice mix I've ever had! It's nutty, sweet, chewy, and has a great texture. I'll make several servings with some stock and it keeps great in the fridge for a few days and it freezes great too!

A bit bland but when made with vegetable broth (esp the Swanson brand) it acquires an overtone of asparagus and is very good. We stir in cut up steamed fresh asparagus or frozen peas with the rice, add Brummell & Brown margarine, and it's very popular at our house! One can also use chicken broth/stock, pineapple juice, or other liquids to make the rice for different taste overtones.

When I cook this, I use a can of low salt chicken broth, a teaspoon of olive oil, and at least garlic chips or fresh garlic, if not some fresh onions, to add a great deal of flavor. Otherwise it is pretty bland.
