Fresh ground coffee is very tasty and, when black, has hardly any calories. The diuretic effect of coffee on regular drinkers is about equal to that of water or sports drinks. http://www.coffeescience.org/media/athletic
One shouldn't cut out coffee for just high blood pressure concerns as the caffeine only spikes blood pressure measurements by 5-15 mmHg in unaccustomed individuals and regular drinkers have far lesser spikes.
- THIS IS A VERY POPULAR ITEM SO EDIT CAREFULLY (says 12 oz, was 8)

Don't forget, though, coffee is a diuretic (sp?) meaning: you should drink the equal amount of water as you do coffee to maintain proper hydration. Hydration is important in digesting food, feeling full, and ensuring the best possible health!

You can customize your view of how you take your coffee on your plate page ... by adding it as a "meal" (frequently consumed product).
