These sardines are exceptional! Nicely flavored, firm and not spiny in the least. Well worth the extra cost, some of the best I've tried in ages.

I've you've never eaten sardines before but need more protein sources! Try these sardines. They are more mildy flavored than expected and the smell of them isn't the robust oily fish stuff I recall as a kid. Unfortunately, lots of cholesterol (the fish conundrum) and saturated fat. Great on a saltine or other salty cracker, a little goes a long way! Try two saltines each with 1 tblsp sardine on top and serve with fresh fruits in season. Good lunch food!
