This is an incredible sugar substitute. The glycemic index is very low - only 14. It doesn't have a taste of it's own like honey or maple syrup. It just tastes sweet. Love it, love it, love it!

I love this stuff! I am still experimenting, but so far it's been a perfect sweetner for things like porridge, oatmeal, cream of wheat, and homemade salad dressings. From what I have read, you might want to use a little less when replacing regular sugar. For example, use 3/4 tsp agave nectar to replace 1 tsp sugar.

Yum. This is great in Coffee at about 1/2 a tbsp. a cup.
I also add it to a Hemp Protein shake. It has a more complex sweetness than sugar. I would tell everyone to try it before you knock it!

My parents actually introduced me to this. We use it instead of honey and also as a cooking substitute for sugar. The consistency is slightly thinner than honey, but it is very close. My mother finds that it doen't throw her blood sugar into a tailspin. It is just fabulous stuff!
