My doctor said that my cholesterol levels were getting up there (LDL277) and wanted to start me on medication. I declined. Instead, I opted for an Old Fashioned Oats daily breakfast with the understanding that if it didn't come down I would take the meds. Needless to say, my LDL level is now around 155 and I'm NOT on anything but oats!

PS
I don't use salt in the water (BP was borderline, too), but use Brown Sugar and raisins, instead.
