Upper Shoulder Exercises

Exercises for the Shoulders & Upper Back

The muscles of the shoulders and upper back work together to facilitate upper arm movements. While the shoulder muscles actually move the humerus bone within the shoulder socket, the upper back muscles move the scapula bones, enabling greater ranges of motion. The most prominent of these muscles include the deltoids, rhomboids and trapezius. Perform resistance exercises regularly to build and strengthen these muscles, and progressively increase the amount of resistance over time.
