The Superhero Diet is an extension of the Kind Diet, a diet book published by actress Alicia Silverstone. The diet is based on a vegan lifestyle, eliminating all meat and dairy from your diet. In her book, Silverstone describes the ability to say no to meat and take on a completely vegan diet as something heroic, which is why those who successfully follow her diet are known to be “superhero” dieters. The final stage of the Kind Diet is termed the Superhero Diet.
