I'm Jeremy Shore for LIVESTRONG.COM, and this is a substitute for the jumping jack. There are a few great alternatives you can use for the standard jumping jack. Use these three movements as a warm-up or put them back-to-back for a great metabolic workout. The first exercise is a split jack. The opposite hand and opposite foot will go forward and backward. For example, I'm going to move here, and then to here. So, put those together for the split jack. Next, we're going to move into a squat jack. Position your feet about hip width apart, chest up, and drop into a squat with your hands at your sides. From there, you're going to come up into jack. Your feet are going to go out, and then bring them back in and down. So, squat into the jack. We'll finish with the T-jack. Start standing tall, hands out to the sides, and feet wide. You're going to bring your feet and your hands together at the same time. So, those are three great alternatives to the standard jumping jack. I'm Jeremy Shore for LIVESTRONG.COM.
