Hi, I'm Amber Nimedez with LIVESTRONG.COM, and I'm going to teach you how to trim your gut. The first thing that I'm going to do is get down on my mat into a plank position. And I'm going to do this actually on my elbows. My feet are going to be together. I'm going to squeeze my abs nice and tight. You can interlace your fingers together here for a little bit more stability. Just keep in mind to open up the shoulder blades and to really squeeze your core, squeeze your abs, and then you're going to take your hips up and then right back down. And then right back up and down. So if you want to add a little bit more demand for this, you can do your downward dog, come back down for the plank, take your hands, hoist yourself up to a push up position. Come right back down. Downward dog. So the whole entire time my abs are nice and tight even in the downward dog position. And then to work the side, you're going to go down into your side plank on the elbow. Raise your hips up nice and high, stretch your arm up and then as you lift your hips up you're going to thread your arm through your body and then right back up. And then to the other side. Stacking my feet on top of each other pushing myself up using my side oblique, stretching the arm up nice and long, lift up your hips, thread the arm through. And those are the best exercises to trim your gut. My name is Amber Nimedez from LIVESTRONG.COM.
