Hi, I'm Amber Nimedez for LIVESTRONG.COM, and today I'm going to teach you how to open up your hip flexor. So, I'm going to go down into a kneeling groin stretch. And you want to make sure that your knee does not go over your ankle. And then I'm going to interlace my fingers and place them on my quad, and I'm going to push my chest away from my thigh. And as I push my chest away, I'm pushing this hip down, which is opening up my hip flexor here. So, I'm going to spend about 10 to 15 seconds here, and then I'm going to go ahead and raise my right arm up, elongating this whole side body here, including my hip flexor. And then I'm just going to stretch over to my left, opening up my hip flexor even more. And then I'm going to release. And I'm going to switch sides. So, my right leg comes out. Again, my knee is going to go directly over my ankle. I'm going to interlace my fingers. Place my hands on my thighs, and then I'm going to open up my chest, pushing my hip flexor down on the left side. Then I'm going to raise my left arm up. Stretch up nice and tall, and then lean over to the right. And that is a quick and easy way to release and stretch your hip flexor. I'm Amber Nimedez for LIVESTRONG.COM.
