Hi, I'm Amber Nimedez from LIVESTRONG.COM, and I want to teach you a few exercises to treat those sore legs after basketball. So, what I'm going to have you do is grab a strap and it could a stretchy band or it could be a Yoga strap, whatever you like, whatever you have. Okay. So, I'm going to have you go ahead and lay down on your back and you're going to use the strap to pull your foot down and also in towards your body. Now, the ting to remember here is to keep your upper back down and relaxed. You don't want to be hunched over here like this. We really want to elongate your ribcage and keep your shoulders down. So, keep that in mind when you're stretching your leg here. And then, you're going to take the strap into your left hand and you're going to extend your right arm out to the side, palm facing up and then, you're going to take your leg over to that outside. And here you're getting a nice stretch on the inner part of the leg. And then, you'll bring it right back up to the starting position. I'm going to grab the strap with my right hand and this time I'm going to extend my left, my right leg out and then I'm going to bring my left arm out to the side and gently bring my leg down to the right getting the IT band right in here. These are all leg muscles that you use in basketball and it's really important to stretch them out and then back to the starting position. I'm going to release my leg from the strap and then I'm going to repeat on the other side. And that's a great stretch for you to do with your sore legs after basketball. I'm Amber Nimedez for LIVESTRONG.COM.
