Hi, I'm Amber Nimedez for LIVESTRONG.COM and today, we're going to talk about physical toughness. Now, physical toughness takes strength, physical strength and mental strength. So, I come up with the, a circuit for you where we incorporate squats, burpees and push-ups. Now, I want you to do is I want you to time each exercise for 30 seconds and record how many exercises you can do in each set. So, what I'm going to have you do first is your basic squat. Squat down and then up. Squat down and up. Weight in the heels, push your butt back, chest up. Really feel this in your glutes and your quads. And then the second one, you're going to do push ups. So, you could either do it down on your knees or up in a regular plank position. Okay. You could do it here or here and you're just going to do a push-up, okay, keeping your abs tight. If you have to stop, that's fine, you could rest here and then go straight back into it. And then the last one you're going to do is a burpee. So, you're going to start in a standing position , you're going to come down, jump your legs out, jump your legs in and stand up. Down, out, in, stand up. Down, out, in, stand up. Again, you're going to develop the strength that you need physically and mentally. Push through it, keep trying to up your score and increase the amount of exercise that you do on each set.
